AUSTIN DOCTOR OF CHIROPRACTIC RE-ELECTED CHAIRMAN
OF THE AMERICAN CHIROPRACTIC ASSOCIATION
ARLINGTON, VA - The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) - the nation's
largest professional association for doctors of chiropractic - has re-elected
Austin doctor of chiropractic, James D. Edwards, DC, as chairman of its Board
of Governors.
Dr. Edwards is a 1977 graduate of the Logan College of Chiropractic and
practices with the Chiropractic & Spine Center of Austin, P.C. He was
re-elected chairman of the Board of Governors during ACA's 39th Annual Business
Meeting in Kansas City, MO, August 31.
Dr. Edwards has been very involved in the chiropractic profession for
many years. He previously served on the ACA's Executive Committee for three
years, as the ACA state delegate and as chairman of the ACA Political Action
Committee. In addition, Dr. Edwards has served as state delegate to the National
Board of Chiropractic Examiners, delegate to the Federation of Chiropractic
Licensing Boards, and is a Fellow of the Federation of State Medical Boards.
Dr. Edwards has been recognized for his service and significant contributions
to the chiropractic profession. He was named "Doctor of the Year" by the
Kansas Chiropractic Association in 1991, selected as a fellow of the
International College of Chiropractors in 1996 and was named national "Doctor
of the Year" by Dynamic Chiropractic magazine in 2000.
The ACA, based in Arlington, VA, is the largest chiropractic organization
in the country. The ACA provides lobbying, public relations, professional
and educational opportunities for doctors of chiropractic, funds research
regarding chiropractic and health issues, and offers leadership for the
advancement of the profession. The ACA promotes the highest standards of
ethics and patient care, contributing to the health and well-being of millions
